FAQs

  • What is holistic therapy, and how is it different from conventional treatments?
Holistic therapy looks at your whole self — body, mind and emotions — rather than just symptoms. Treatments are designed to restore balance and promote your natural ability to heal.
  • How do I know which treatment is right for me?
If you’re unsure, I’ll talk through your goals and health history with you and recommend the best option. Each session is tailored to your needs.
  • What conditions or concerns can holistic treatments help with?
They can support a wide range of issues such as stress, tension, poor sleep, low energy, digestive problems and general wellbeing. They are also an excellent way to maintain balance and relaxation.
  • Do I need a referral from my doctor?
No referral is needed. However, if you have a diagnosed medical condition or are under medical care, it’s best to let your GP know you’re receiving complementary therapies.
  • Are there any medical conditions or medications that mean I shouldn’t have certain treatments?
Some conditions require adjustments or a doctor’s approval. Please mention any health issues or medication when booking so I can advise you safely.
  • How should I prepare for my appointment?
Eat lightly, stay hydrated, and wear comfortable clothing. Please arrive a few minutes early to complete any forms and settle in.
  • What can I expect during my first session?
We’ll begin with a short consultation to discuss your needs. I’ll explain the treatment process so you feel relaxed and informed before we start.
  • Will the treatment be painful or uncomfortable?
Most holistic treatments are gentle and relaxing. Some techniques, like cupping or deep tissue massage, may create mild temporary sensations, but I’ll always work at a level comfortable for you.
  • How long does each session last?
Most treatments last 45–60 minutes. You’ll be told the length when booking.
  • How many sessions will I need to feel a difference?
Some people notice benefits straight away, while others feel gradual improvement over several sessions. We’ll review your progress together.
  • Are the treatments suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Certain therapies can be adapted safely. Please let me know if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding so I can recommend the best options.
  • Will my health insurance cover holistic therapies?
Some insurers do reimburse complementary therapies. Please check directly with your provider.
  •  Is the treatment safe for children or older adults?
Yes — treatments can be adapted for all ages. I’ll adjust pressure, duration and technique as needed. An accompanying adult must be present throughout.
  • How much does each session cost?
Current prices are listed on the booking page. If you’re unsure, feel free to ask before booking.
  • Can I combine different treatments in one appointment?
Yes. We can blend treatment approaches for a more tailored session, but some treatments cannot be blended as it would be excessive.
  • What signs show the treatment is working?
Feeling calmer, sleeping better, reduced tension and improved mood are all common indicators.
  • Are there any aftercare products or exercises you recommend?
I may suggest simple stretches, breathing techniques or home-care tips to prolong your results.
  • Will repeated sessions improve the results?
Yes. Regular treatments can enhance and maintain benefits over time.
  • Can I contact you if I have questions or unexpected reactions?
Absolutely. If anything concerns you after a session, please get in touch for advice.
  • Can I donate blood after NADA treatment? No you cannot donate blood for six months after NADA
  • What should I wear?
Loose, comfortable clothing is ideal. For some therapies, I may ask you to remove outer layers, but you’ll always be draped appropriately.
  • How will I feel immediately afterwards?
Most people feel relaxed, lighter and calmer. Occasionally you may feel sleepy as your body continues to rebalance. Some feel invigorated.
  • Are there any side effects I should expect?
Mild effects such as temporary tiredness, increased urination, or emotional release are normal signs your body is adjusting.
  • Is it normal to feel emotional or sensitive?
Yes. Holistic therapies can release stored tension. This usually passes within 24–48 hours and is part of the healing process.
  • What should I do or avoid after my appointment?
Drink plenty of water, avoid alcohol for the rest of the day, and allow yourself some rest if possible. Gentle movement such as walking is fine.
  • How soon will I notice results?
Some people feel immediate changes; for others, benefits build gradually over a few days.
  • How long will the benefits last?
This varies depending on your lifestyle, stress levels and the type of treatment. Regular sessions can help maintain results.
  • Can I return to work or drive afterwards?
Yes, though you may prefer to schedule your session at a time when you can relax afterwards.
  • Should I drink more water or change my diet afterwards?
Hydration helps your body flush out toxins and recover. A balanced, nourishing diet supports your results.
  • How often should I book follow-up sessions?
This depends on your goals. Some people benefit from weekly or fortnightly sessions at first, then move to maintenance appointments.
  • What if I don’t feel any difference?
Sometimes the effects are subtle or build over time. Let me know at your next visit so we can adjust the approach.
  • Can I combine this with other therapies or medication?
Yes — holistic treatments are complementary. Always let me know what else you’re doing so we can ensure everything works safely together.
